Sol Blume Music Festival

Sol Blume is an annual two-day art, culture, love, and music Sacramento festival where people gather to celebrate some of the most acclaimed R&B, soul, and hip-hop music acts. They pride themselves on good vibes, energy, and being the only R&B festival in the capital city.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced Sol Blume to take a year off. When the festival returned in 2022, they partnered with Apartment 1A to help meet goals of amplifying the attendee capacity by more than 20 percent at a larger venue, with more acts, more experiences, and even bigger brand partnerships.

The Outcome

Apartment 1A concentrated on pitching and managing paid and unpaid pass giveaway partnerships with local Sacramento media outlets, colleges and universities, radio stations, and entertainment media blogs.

On the operations side, we developed an 8-week email marketing strategy and created branded copy to disturb festival-related information to ticketholders. We ensured merch sales, food vendors, safety, transportation, VIP entry, arrival, on-site rules information, and legal conditions were communicated to attendees worldwide clearly and concisely.

We were also on-site for both festival days to manage the Sol Blume x Pandora partnership, which featured collaborating to produce scheduled and impromptu backstage interviews with talent, including artists Tink, Maeta, Joyce Wright, Sir, Kirby, and more.

More than 50,000 people safely attended the festival, with zero violent crimes reported. Merch sold out on the first day, and over 50 media outlets covered the successful event. Another win, Pandora and other spirit brands expressed interest in ongoing partnerships.
