Live Out Live

Live Out L!ve (LOL) is a dynamic brand with two key components: the Live Out L!ve Agency, a boutique agency focused on creating career opportunities for Black and Latinx young adults in live music, and the Live Out L!ve Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to mentorship, education, and advocacy for aspiring music professionals.

When Candace Newman approached Apartment 1A, she sought distinct yet complementary brands that could operate cohesively. We guided the discovery, strategy, and identity development for both entities, creating visual systems and messaging that highlight their unique missions.

From logo design to website development and fundraising materials, we built a cohesive brand ecosystem that supports the agency's growth and enhances the foundation’s community impact.

The Outcome

Our partnership with Live Out L!ve began in 2019. With only the name and idea, LOL founder Candace trusted Apartment 1A to provide Live Out L!ve brand discovery, brand strategy, brand identity, a website, social media plan, assets, and email marketing services.

After a successful launch and growth spurt, three years later, Live Out L!ve needed our help again. They needed to rebrand but wanted to distinguish the agency from the LOL Foundation non-profit they planned to launch.

We took a rare approach and simultaneously designed the non-profit foundation pitch deck, touring and booking agency website, and general LOL brand guide (for both companies). We also saw an opportunity to build an investor deck for the (for-profit) agency side of the business, as Candace expressed the need for funds to grow and hire staff.

We also elevated the brands through messaging and other design elements with a comprehensive brand guide. Our work positioned LOL to embrace new opportunities, funding for the non-profit, and a 100% increase in business leads for the agency.
